Job Title: Senior Defense Litigation Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of cases, decisions, and outcomes, ensuring accountability by acknowledging and addressing mistakes promptly and proactively solving problems before escalation.
- Overcommunicate and document case-related information thoroughly, maintaining an open dialogue about workload and capacity, and flagging potential issues early.
- Demonstrate exceptional emotional control in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure during demanding deadlines and challenging cases, and strategically navigating contentious situations.
- Maintain an intensive workload while delivering superior work products, taking complete case ownership with minimal supervision, and committing to client service excellence.
- Demonstrate willingness to travel throughout Texas as part of job responsibilities.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 8+ years of substantial personal injury defense litigation experience.
- Significant experience in defending commercial motor carriers.
- Proven track record of managing complex defense cases from inception through resolution.
- Leadership experience in conducting depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Must have Texas Bar admission and be a current resident of Texas.
Salary Information:
- Traditional Billing Structure:
- Base salary ranging from $140,000 to $175,000.
- Requires 2,004 annual billing hours.
- Includes performance and merit bonuses as well as business development incentives.
- Modified Schedule:
- Base salary ranging from $90,000 to $130,000.
- Flexible monthly billing ranging from 90 to 160 hours.
- Includes performance bonuses and business development incentives.
