Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
- Take depositions of claimants, physicians, medical experts, and other parties.
- Conduct legal research and remain current with developments in the law.
- Draft legal documents such as appeals, rebuttals, summations, and memoranda of law.
- Litigate cases before a workers' compensation judge or referee.
- Answer client questions and guide them through the workers' compensation process.
- Represent claimants' interests at hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
- Assist injured workers with workers' compensation benefits, including ensuring they receive appropriate medical care.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of claimants.
- Provide legal direction in all cases.
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure that cases are proceeding as necessary.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the NYS Bar. Recent graduates awaiting admission may also be considered.
- Excellent negotiation, litigation, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate and client-focused approach is essential.
- A desire for a balanced and fulfilling career is important.

Salary Information:
- The salary range is $60,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience (DOE), plus bonuses.
- Attorneys with extensive experience in Workers' Compensation may be eligible for additional compensation.
