Job Responsibilities

As an Attorney with the law firm, your primary responsibilities will revolve around advocating for policyholders involved in first-party property insurance disputes. You will be integral to the firm's mission of protecting the interests of policyholders and will engage in a variety of legal activities.

1. Client Representation: You will represent policyholders in various first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims. Your role will be crucial in striving for favorable outcomes for clients.

2. Legal Expertise: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop innovative strategies. You will be expected to stay informed on evolving first-party property insurance laws, regulations, and precedents.

3. Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload, draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions, and ensure all necessary documentation is organized and maintained.

4. Negotiation Skills: Utilize strong negotiation skills to engage with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties in insurance disputes, aiming for advantageous settlements for clients.

5. Litigation Excellence: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Your persuasive advocacy will be key in presenting compelling arguments.

6. Client Empowerment: Provide clear and concise legal advice to policyholders, empowering them with knowledge about their rights, obligations, and available options under their insurance policies.

7. Thorough Documentation: Conduct meticulous reviews of insurance policies, claim documentation, correspondence, and related materials to assess coverage and build strong cases for clients.

8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of experts, fellow attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure seamless case management and optimal outcomes.

Education and Experience

1. A Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school is required.

2. Active license to practice law and admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction is mandatory.

3. A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience is required, with a preference for experience in first-party property insurance.

4. Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills are necessary to develop compelling legal strategies and articulate arguments effectively.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to establish rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $120, to $180, per year.
