Job Title: Senior Counsel - Public Finance

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide transactional support and regulatory advice to the company's national Public Finance business.
- Perform significant and complex legal work while regularly interacting with management.
- Oversee legal research, analysis, consultation, and documentation within a framework of legal compliance and risk management.
- Manage the expense for outside counsel relationships and provide strategic direction on when to leverage outside counsel.
- Collaborate with outside counsel, combining their advice with analysis and feedback from internal stakeholders to provide practical guidance.
- Network with outside organizations to advance the legal interests and legal health of the corporation and its industry.

Education and Experience Information:
- Roles at this level require a Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
- Certifications: Active State License - Multiple Issuers.

Salary Information:
- Base Salary: $130, – $291,
- Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education.
- This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.

Additional Information:
- The position is based in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, ., or Birmingham. Other locations may be considered based on experience.
- Knowledge of Municipal bond underwriting is critical, and bank financing is a plus.
- Experience with a variety of municipal financing structures and applicable Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) rules is required.
- Preferred skills include Legal Compliance, Legal Consulting, Legal Practices, Legal Risk, Regulatory Compliance, and Risk Assessments.
- Competencies include Business Ethics, Decision Making and Critical Thinking, Effective Communications, Establishing and Maintaining Trust, External Resource Management, Influencing Through Expertise, Legal Analysis, Legal Function, Negotiating, and Problem Solving.
