Job Description:
- Senior Consultant position in Financial Services Regulatory Compliance, with primary location in New York and potential for other locations in the region
- EY is the only professional services firm with a dedicated Financial Services Office (FSO) to serve the financial services marketplace
- Work with largest banks, credit unions, and financial service providers to address regulatory feedback, enhance compliance programs, and achieve long-lasting results
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to manage and deliver outstanding work products
- Stay informed of current business and industry trends relevant to clients' businesses
- Possess strong communication skills for report writing and client presentations
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge
- Build relationships with clients at appropriate levels
- Possess good business acumen and remain current on new developments in advisory services and industry knowledge
- Analytical skills to understand and assess financial services industry processes with a compliance and control focus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in finance, economics, law, or related discipline
- Approximately 2 years of work experience in regulatory compliance or 1-2 years of experience in risk management or consumer banking consulting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of federal regulatory agencies such as OCC, FRB, or CFPB, or experience in a financial services organization's Compliance Department
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations for Compliance Management Systems and Compliance Risk Management Programs for financial institutions serving consumers
- Experience with assessing and decomposing financial services industry processes with a risk and control focus
- Knowledge of consumer lending products, life cycle, and regulations such as fair lending, CRA, UDAAP, TILA, RESPA, and regulatory requirements of the Federal Reserve, OCC, and/or FDIC
- Experience with designing, developing, and implementing internal controls and/or testing for financial services business processes
