Job Title: Financial Services Litigation Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Financial Services Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing high-responsibility cases in both state and federal courts. This includes defending financial institutions in single-plaintiff litigation and handling appeals. Key responsibilities involve:
- Conducting depositions, mediations, and attending hearings.
- Engaging in thorough legal research to support case strategies.
- Writing detailed legal documents, including briefs and motions.
- Analyzing complex legal issues related to financial services, contested foreclosures, and consumer debt litigation.
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet the following education and experience requirements:
- Admission to the New York Bar in good standing is mandatory.
- Prior experience in financial services litigation, contested foreclosure, and/or consumer debt litigation is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in handling depositions, mediations, and attending hearings.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential for this role.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $180,000 annually. This range is specifically for applicants who will be working in New York City. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including internal equity, the applicant's skills, relevant experience, degrees, or certifications. This salary range does not apply to locations outside New York City.
