Job Title: Associate Attorney (General Liability)

Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney at the law firm will handle a substantial caseload of litigation under the direction of a partner. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, preparing, and handling pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
- Drafting and responding to written discovery and dispositive motions.
- Conducting legal research with competence and proficiency.
- Preparing and taking depositions of parties and experts.
- Reviewing client documents and drafting case evaluations and status report correspondence.
- Assisting with and participating in mediations and court appearances.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the defense of general liability.
- Broad experience in Insurance Defense is considered a plus.
- Must be licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois state and federal courts.
- Additional state admissions are considered a plus.

Skills and Abilities:
Candidates must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Ability to practice law in the state of Missouri and Illinois.
- Capability to manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to move efficiently from case to case.
- Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.
