Job Title: Counsel, Indiana Regulatory
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise the businesses on relevant state regulatory statutes, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
- Represent the businesses in meetings with regulatory agencies, including the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO).
- Assist in the design and support of regulatory strategies.
- Manage and participate in regulatory proceedings and complaint matters.
- Interact with regulatory agencies regarding affiliate agreements, filings, and other matters.
- Review and advise on legislative matters related to state regulatory issues.
- Support regulatory due diligence in business transactions.
- Draft regulatory disclosures in connection with company SEC reporting.
- Assist in other matters where needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
- 6+ years of relevant experience at a large law firm or comparable in-house corporate or governmental agency with a sophisticated energy regulatory practice.
