Job Title: Conflicts Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The Conflicts Attorney at the law firm is responsible for identifying and resolving conflicts of interest that arise from new business intake or the hiring of lateral attorneys. The position involves working closely with the Director of New Business Intake, Ethics Counsel, and General Counsel. Key duties include analyzing conflict search reports, drafting conflict waivers, assisting with conflict review and clearance for lateral hires, supervising conflicts analysts, reviewing outside counsel guidelines, drafting memos for ethical screens, and providing additional support as deemed appropriate by the Director and Ethics Counsel.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active license to practice law in the United States. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of legal experience within a law firm. Applicants should be willing to devote most of their business day to reviewing conflicts of interest database search reports, clearing new employments for acceptance, and resolving conflicts of interest. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to articulate issues clearly and succinctly. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information are crucial, and candidates should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
