Paralegal Program:
- Provides quality paralegal work experience
- Assists with preparation of legal documents for cases involving child support, spousal support, and health insurance issues
- Placement areas include Family Law (Self-Help Centers, Domestic Violence Clinic, Guardianship Clinic, Toll Family Law Counseling Center with LAFLA)
- Open to students currently enrolled in paralegal schools, colleges, and universities throughout LA County
- Also open to individuals who have completed a Paralegal certificate program in paralegal schools, colleges, or universities
Note: Most programs allow participation as a volunteer. Volunteers donate their services without pay from the Court and without compensation or credit from a third party (may receive aid or benefits as part of a government program).
Eligibility and Application Process:
- Participants will be placed on an eligibility list for up to 6 months and considered for available opportunities
- Current and accurate email address must be provided for communication with the Court
- Human Resources staff will notify all applicants of their application status via email
- Recommended to add to SAFE SENDERS list to avoid notification being filtered as spam mail
