Litigation Attorney The candidate will provide legal advice to privately held companies and hotel owners/developers in their litigation matters. Will research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and any other necessary legal documentation during the course of litigation in State District and County Courts, Appellate Courts, and Federal District Courts. Handle civil litigation cases from referral to resolution, which may necessitate the use of written and oral advocacy, motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, trial, and appellate court briefing and argument.
The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree or higher. Must have Doctor of Jurisprudence. Must be Licensed to practice law in the State in Texas. Must have 3+ years of experience in litigation, drafting pleadings, motions, responses, briefs. Should have exceptional communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work through complex business and construction issues is required.
