Job Title: Legal Internship, Spring

Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Legal Internship Program offered during the spring semesters.
- Work within the Energy and Environment Bureau, which is dedicated to addressing climate change and advocating for environmental justice for residents.
- Engage with one of the three divisions within the Bureau: Energy and Ratepayer Advocacy Division, Environmental Protection Division, or Environmental Crimes Strike Force.
- Assist in investigating and prosecuting environmental crimes that pose threats to human health, focusing on issues such as illegal hazardous waste disposal, water pollution, air emissions, pesticide application, and wetland protection violations.
- Contribute efforts to underserved communities and matters affecting the health and safety of children.
- Collaborate with prosecutors from the Attorney General’s Office, officers from the Massachusetts Environmental Police, and professionals from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
- Legal interns may be assigned to a specific division based on individual office needs.

Education and Experience Information:
- The internship program is exclusively designed for students who are currently enrolled in law school.
- Individuals who have already completed law school are not eligible for this internship program.
- Interns are selected on a case-by-case basis, depending on the division's needs and requests.

Salary Information:
- The internship positions offered through this program are unpaid.
