Job Title: Paralegal - Compliance
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support by reviewing, drafting, and editing a wide range of legal documents.
- Receive, evaluate, and respond to subpoenas and other legal processes in a timely and compliant manner.
- Gather documentation and relevant information to respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and revise physician-related contracts, including employment agreements, professional services agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
- Manage legal process requests and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations in the State of New York.
- Track contract terms, renewal dates, and ensure accurate documentation and version control throughout the contract lifecycle.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements governing acute care hospitals and healthcare operations in New York State.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and editing—especially employment contracts within a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute preferred.
- Experience with healthcare provider licensing and credentialing processes is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
