Job Title: 2L Summer Associate (IP)

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the 2L Summer Associate in the Intellectual Property (IP) department is to engage in meaningful exposure to substantive legal assignments. The summer program is designed to provide robust mentoring, networking, and learning opportunities. The associate will be involved in various tasks related to patent prosecution, litigation, trademark, copyright, privacy, and other IP-related legal work. The goal is to build a strong foundation for a successful career in Intellectual Property law.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the 2L Summer Associate position should be law students with technical backgrounds in fields such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or an advanced degree in Chemistry. A . degree in any science/engineering field that qualifies students to take the Patent Bar Exam is also acceptable. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to pursuing an Intellectual Property practice. Prior industry experience, patent prosecution experience, and a patent registration number are considered advantageous.
