Job Title: 2026 Summer Associate – Trademark
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the 2026 Summer Associate in the Trademark, Copyright, and Advertising group at the law firm will include engaging in various legal functions related to trademark, copyright, and advertising matters. The summer associate will work alongside experienced attorneys to assist in the selection, prosecution, and enforcement of trademark and related rights both domestically and internationally. This role involves:
- Participating in the management of trademark portfolios and assisting in the development of strategies for brand adoption, expansion, and licensing.
- Supporting litigation efforts, including working on contentious matters before federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the . Copyright Office, and domain name tribunals.
- Collaborating with the team to provide strategic counseling and portfolio management services to a diverse client base, ranging from established companies to emerging brands.
- Engaging in legal research and drafting documents related to trademark, copyright, and advertising law.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the 2026 Summer Associate position should be in their second year of law school (2L) at the time of application. While prior work experience related to trademark, copyright, and advertising issues is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
