Job Title: Estate Planning Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead estate planning and elder law client matters from inception to conclusion.
- Draft various legal documents including wills, trusts, and other planning documents ranging from simple to complex.
- Provide empathetic and clear counsel to clients regarding their estate planning options.
- Supervise support staff involved in document preparation and trust funding.
- Collaborate with financial and insurance professionals to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Participate in teaching workshops, webinars, and community education events.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
- Must be a licensed attorney in New York.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law is required.
- Bonus points for experience with Medicaid or irrevocable trust planning, and estate administration or probate.
Salary Information:
- The base salary ranges from $93,000 to $125,000, with performance-based bonuses available.
- Additional benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 3% employer match Simple IRA, paid time off, bar dues, continuing legal education (CLE), and professional development coverage.
