Job Responsibilities
The Director, Contracts and Transactions Counsel is tasked with providing comprehensive legal counsel on a wide array of contracting and transactional matters that impact the growth and operational functions of the organization’s system-wide departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with the Vice President, Corporate Counsel, and executive and senior members of the organization on contractual arrangements.
- Managing contracts related to goods and services, mergers, acquisitions, and various operational initiatives.
- Ensuring corporate compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
- Supporting the organization’s strategic objectives by providing legal guidance that aligns with business goals.
The Director will report to and work closely and collaboratively with the Vice President, Corporate Counsel for the organization.
Education and Experience Information
Education And Credentials
- Juris Doctor required.
- License to practice law in New York State; good standing required.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and transactions in either private practice or in-house settings is required.
- Health care experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary Information
- Salary Range: $120, - $165,
- Wage determination will be based on factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
