Mattel, a global leader in the toy and family entertainment industry, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Law Department in El Segundo, California. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive team, providing legal support for all areas of corporate and securities law, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

As a Senior Counsel, you will have a direct impact on Mattel's success by:

- Managing corporate governance matters and providing support to the Board and Committees
- Ensuring compliance with the ’33 and ‘34 Acts, including preparation and review of public securities offerings and filings
- Playing a key role in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and minority investments
- Overseeing finance matters, including credit facilities and debt compliance
- Assisting with state corporate law and stock exchange listing compliance
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Collaborating with various headquarter functions, such as Treasury, Investor Relations, and Financial Reporting

We are looking for candidates with a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and at least 8 years of experience practicing corporate/securities/mergers & acquisitions at a national or global law firm. In-house, public company legal experience is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential for this role.
