Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute domestic and international patent applications

  • Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and due diligence analyses

  • Advise clients on intellectual property strategy and portfolio management

  • Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel

  • Stay current on legal developments and emerging technology trends

  • Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives

Requirements:

  • 1–4 years of law firm experience in patent prosecution

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more of the following:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Chemical Engineering

    • Materials Science

    • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

  • Demonstrable interest in life sciences is preferred

  • Strong client service mindset and time management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

  • Advanced degrees (MS or PhD) in a relevant technical field preferred

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) required

  • Active membership in at least one state bar (preferred: corresponding to office location)
