Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Benefits Associate to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in employee benefits, including knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the Internal Revenue Code.

Duties

  • Manage health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wellness programs, COBRA, deferred compensation, and executive compensation.
  • Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes in the benefits sector.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Provide excellent client service and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Over four years of experience in employee benefits.
  • Strong analytic, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Proven ability to produce quality work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to client development activities.

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
