Their practice includes corporate, litigation, real estate, intellectual property, legislative, and other types of law. It's clients include some of the largest corporations from around the region and the globe. Senior Paralegal The candidate will draft ordinances, resolutions and agreements for general municipal matters. Draft bond resolutions, indentures, loan agreements, records of proceedings, closing documents, escrow documents, tax documents, bonds and legal opinions and other agreements. Track financing schedule calendars. Draft preliminary and final official statements and other disclosure documents. Assist clients in complying with continuing disclosure requirements. Coordinate the assembly of transcript file documents and transcript indexes. Coordinate and assist in bond preclosings and closings, and participate in working group conference calls and meetings. Prepare letters and e-mail memoranda to clients and working group members, including banks, underwriters, financial advisors and governmental agencies. File maintenance requiring substantial familiarity with digital filing and retrieval. Maintain and update SharePoint site for Public Finance group (eMuni). Coordinate and assist with client mailings.
The candidate should have a college degree with 4-6 years of paralegal experience working in a law firm/professional services environment or corporate legal department. General public finance experience desired. A corporate or Real Estate background would be beneficial, as well as word processing experience. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and basic accounting principles. A highly professional demeanor and demonstrated work ethic including the willingness to take on extra tasks and responsibilities (including occasional overtime) in order to meet client/firm needs. Excellent communication, analytical and organization skills with an emphasis on detail and teamwork. Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail. Resourcefulness and appropriate decision making. Examples include: Working cost-effectively; using the appropriate resources, including online tools and websites; knowing when to inform a supervisor of a situation; and understanding the boundaries of the practice of law. The ability to express and articulate him/herself clearly, including the of proper grammar and appropriate vocabulary, as well as the ability to describe a set of facts or information in an organized, precise, clear and unambiguous fashion. Ability to anticipate, plan, prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
