Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Confer with clients to gather pertinent information.
- Draft, review, and deliver legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and other types of legal documents.
- Maintain client files and provide administrative support.
- Assist in drafting/editing legal documents per the client's request.
- Assist clients in preparing for trials and hearings.
- Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
- Provide clients with procedures in the process of legal disputes.
- Interview clients and witnesses to obtain information.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing in-person clients, scheduling appointments, organizing files, preparing documents for clients, and managing calendars.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a paralegal.
- Preferred experience and/or understanding in Family Court Actions, Estate Planning, Probate.
- Certified Notary Public or willingness to obtain a notary certification is preferred.
- Legal Document Preparation Certification is preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
Salary Information:
- Pay ranges from to per hour, as provided by the employer.
- Expected working hours are 25 to 40 per week.
