Job Title: Counsel, eDiscovery Specialist, Product Liability Litigation

Job Responsibilities:
The Counsel, eDiscovery Specialist at the company will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of discovery and eDiscovery in connection with the company’s product liability litigation matters, specifically focusing on vehicle products. The primary responsibilities include:

- Representing the company in all facets of product liability-related litigation, with a particular emphasis on discovery.
- Preparing responses to Discovery by thoroughly understanding the company’s vehicle products and litigation strategy, drafting Protective Orders, and creating all front-end discovery-related stipulations.
- Leading document collection efforts to identify and select critical documents and data for discovery compliance, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Working with the Product Liability team to integrate critical documents into case analysis and the overall litigation strategy.
- Overseeing all aspects of document review, including consulting on eDiscovery meet and confers to provide guidance on processes such as negotiating search terms, metadata, predictive coding, and the application of coding panels on large document collections.
- Staying informed on case law, federal, state, and local rules, and other statutory developments affecting discovery and ESI.
- Developing and implementing best practices to maximize the quality, efficiency, and value of the eDiscovery Team.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Counsel, eDiscovery Specialist position are required to have:

- A JD Degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in a state bar.
- 3-5 years of experience actively litigating matters and managing intensive eDiscovery projects, including initial case assessment, strategy development, responding to discovery, and overseeing all aspects of eDiscovery, mediation, arbitration, and court trials. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they exhibit stellar eDiscovery intellect and enthusiasm.
- Experience conducting company witness interviews for case-specific document collections.
- The ability to exercise business and legal judgment with strong problem-solving, research, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with top document review platforms like Relativity and Logikcull, including running complex Boolean searches, crafting case-specific coding panels, and creating detailed saved searches.
- A track record of working efficiently with a client-service focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A pleasant attitude, ability to work well with others, including non-lawyers, and the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
