Job Title: Lawyer (Attorney - Counsel - Sr Counsel)
Job Responsibilities:
- Under broad direction, the Lawyer is responsible for advising the company on simple to moderately complex legal issues related to oilfield commercial contracting activities.
- Acts as a company advocate and advisor, providing guidance concerning legal rights and obligations, and recommends best practices and courses of action related to legal issues.
- Reviews and negotiates contracts with internal and external clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
- Conducts research on the intent of laws and judicial decisions and applies these to specific circumstances relevant to company business.
- Interacts with vendors, customers, and internal clients of the company and manages outside counsel with the assistance of a supervising attorney.
- Must adhere to a strict code of ethics.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's degree is preferred.
- In the US, a Juris Doctor (JD) in law is required.
- Three years of experience in oilfield commercial contracting is required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in applicable areas.
Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum job requirements may be considered for higher-level positions based on their experience, additional job requirements, and current business needs. Depending on their education, experience, and skill level, candidates may be eligible for positions ranging from Attorney, Counsel to Senior Counsel.
Salary Information:
