This position, located in Sarasota, Florida, offers an exciting opportunity to engage in sophisticated and challenging estate planning work for clients both in Florida and nationwide. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration, with a strong knowledge of federal estate and gift tax returns. Responsibilities:
- Engage in sophisticated and challenging estate planning work for clients in Florida and nationwide
- Utilize strong knowledge of estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration
- Prepare federal estate tax returns (Form 706) and federal gift tax returns (Form 709)
- Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
- Conduct thorough research using online services and databases
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Work independently while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
- Utilize technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Active Florida bar license
- 4+ years of professional estate planning law practice experience
- . in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred
- Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
- Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
- Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit in a static position for up to one-half hour at a time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
- Ability to bend and stoop occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
