Job Title: Calendar/Docket Clerk

Job Responsibilities:
The Calendar/Docket Clerk is responsible for maintaining the office’s docket and calendar system. This includes obtaining filing information from court clerks and online dockets, assisting legal secretaries with preparing documents for filing with various courts, and preparing and distributing master calendar updates to attorneys and legal staff. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. The position supports multiple practice groups, necessitating a team-oriented mindset and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.

Education and Experience Information:
Applicants for the Calendar/Docket Clerk position should have 3-5 years of recent experience working with a civil litigation firm. Demonstrated experience in federal and state court procedures, specifically in calendaring and docketing, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CompuLaw, Milana, or comparable docketing software is required. Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented, self-starters with strong organizational skills, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with legal correspondence is considered a plus. A solid knowledge and understanding of local jurisdictional and federal court rules and procedures are also necessary for this role.

Salary Information:
The yearly salary range for the Calendar/Docket Clerk position is between $50,000 and $65,000. The actual salary offered may vary above or below this range and will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, and the location where the position is filled. The position is open to all experience levels, and the law firm offers a friendly, business casual environment with a competitive salary and a full benefits package.
