Job Responsibilities
- Participate in a hands-on, meaningful summer associate program that includes a broad range of opportunities to learn about the practice of law, the firm, and the communities where lawyers work and live.
- Engage in challenging work assignments supported by a team providing valuable "out-of-office" experiences and client contact.
- Receive detailed feedback on completed work, undergo an interim evaluation, and receive a final review to measure progress.
- Participate in pro bono work and connect with peers and lawyers throughout the summer.
- Engage in a firmwide orientation program to integrate into the firm and understand law firm life, covering benefits, technology, lawyering basics, and collaboration with support professionals.
- Receive training on practice and technical skill proficiency, development of behavioral competencies, understanding the business of operating a law firm, business development, and client service.
- Collaborate closely with senior lawyers on legal work to experience valuable coaching.
- Receive ongoing feedback from supervising lawyers and participate in a formal evaluation process, including a self-assessment, individual and group evaluations, and an in-person evaluation meeting with the practice group.
