ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL - Perform complex legal work for the State of Arizona, providing legal advice, counsel, and representation.
- Jurisdiction over Arizona's Consumer Fraud Act, white collar crime, public corruption, environmental laws, and more.
- Prosecutes cases normally handled by county attorneys in cases of conflict.
- Currently seeking attorneys for the Criminal Division with 4 openings in Phoenix and Prescott.

Job Location: Statewide, with remote options available in Phoenix and Tucson.

Salary: $65,000-$169,753* per year

Grade: 01

Closing Date: Continuous

Job Summary:

- Provides legal representation and advice in complex cases in State and Federal court.
- Prepares legal documents, conducts investigations and research, and appears in court.
- Responds to inquiries from law enforcement and the general public.
- Attends meetings and trainings as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

- Knowledge and understanding of applicable statutes, case law and court rules.
- Skills in persuasive oral and written communication, legal and factual issue identification and analysis, and trial and negotiating skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, direct and monitor complex investigations/cases.
- Ability to manage significant volume of high exposure cases and to utilize skills of subordinate staff.
- Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.

- Dedication and interest in public service.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Travel is required for this position.
- Admission to, and good standing with, the Arizona State Bar is required.
- Writing sample must be submitted with application.
- Fingerprinting and criminal background check are required.
