Job Title:
Associate General Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
- Review corporate transactions, including contract and lease reviews/negotiations.
- Consult with the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel regarding project and employment claims made against or on behalf of the company.
- Participate in business transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- Engage in the legal aspects of the company’s financing, assessing current and future business structures and legal entities.
- Advise on best practices in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Evaluate the company’s insurance programs.
- Support patent pursuits by the company.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred.
- Active bar membership required.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in construction and transactional law.
- In-house counsel experience strongly preferred; relevant outside counsel experience will be considered.
- Excellent legal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Working knowledge of Adobe software. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Salary Information:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $104,000 to $123,000 annually.
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus each year.
