Job Title: Privacy Specialist, Trust Fundamentals
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with senior team members, builders, engineers, product, legal, PR, marketing, and other privacy and security teams across the company to document privacy controls.
- Map privacy controls to customer promises and policy requirements, and develop a risk-based, prioritized testing plan.
- Develop test plans for privacy controls in coordination with counsel, PR, product owners, technical program managers, and software development engineers.
- Conduct assessments of privacy controls to evaluate their operational effectiveness.
- Validate that privacy controls align with customer promises and internal policies.
- Identify gaps in privacy control implementations and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive corrective actions to closure by establishing owners, dates, and escalating effectively to leaders.
- Draft, publish, and regularly update privacy policies and standards to align with findings.
- Conduct change management to ensure awareness and implementation of privacy requirements.
- Monitor privacy regulations, industry frameworks, best practices, and business developments to update or create privacy requirements as needed.
- Raise business awareness of privacy requirements.
- Assess and monitor the health and performance of privacy requirements implementation.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of compliance experience.
- Excellent written, critical thinking, project, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into simple and actionable language.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high complexity and ambiguity, many diverse stakeholders, and large volumes of data at scale.
- Ability to assess and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of privacy compliance experience.
- At least one International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certification.
- Experience working for a technology company.
- Juris Doctor, Master’s degree, or equivalent.
- Experience building privacy compliance programs from scratch.
- Experience reporting status and health of compliance programs to senior leaders.
Salary Information:
- The base pay for this position ranges from $99,900/year in the lowest geographic market up to $164,800/year in the highest geographic market.
- Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- The company is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
