Job Title: Liability Trial Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity cases, ensuring high-quality, proactive case handling.
- Develop and apply trial skills and techniques to litigate cases to verdict.
- Conduct legal research and demonstrate strong and persuasive legal writing and presentation skills.
- Supervise research projects delegated to Associate Counsel and paralegals.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents, and attend court events and appointments independently.
- Understand and meet Claim and client expectations, providing recommendations and case analysis on file-handling strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and business partners.
- Utilize support staff effectively according to office protocols and best practices.
- Adhere to best practices in file handling and utilize available technology and case management systems.
- Travel as required to meet business needs.
- Provide advice and training to Claim partners and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate; graduate of an accredited law school.
- A minimum of one year of litigation practice or prior legal experience.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the state(s) where representation is required.
- Valid driver’s license required depending on the location.
- Ideal candidates have 3+ years of prior litigation practice or legal experience, with exposure to insurance litigation being desirable.
- Developing a track record of trial skills and techniques.
- Ability to clearly articulate positions and analyze legal issues with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal work and professional development.
- Strong research, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Sense of urgency and responsiveness.

Salary Information:
- The annual base salary range for this position is $101, to $167,.
- The actual salary will be determined by factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
