The Attorney Practice Coordinator (formerly Legal Secretary) at a Seattle-based law firm is responsible for coordinating and supporting the practices of multiple attorneys. This hybrid position is located in Seattle, WA and requires in-office work 2-3 days per week. The salary for this position ranges from to per hour, contingent on relevant experience and education, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Responsibilities:
- Coordinating attorney support from Attorney Resource Team and other corporate departments, including calendar and billing teams
- Accurate and complete submissions to Attorney Resource Team, including thorough instructions and documentation
- Communicating with case team to avoid duplicate requests to Attorney Resource Team
- Verifying court and other deadlines and alerting attorneys
- Creating and updating litigation matters in Virtual Binder
- Accurate and timely creation of Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs)
- Coordinating and finalizing documents for filing with courts or administrative agencies, and service upon other parties
- E-filing documents with courts and agencies in accordance with applicable rules
- Timely and properly filing in NetDocuments
- Creating and submitting New Client Matters (NCM) within firm standards
- Coordinating transcription of audio recordings
- Coordinating the printing and assembling of documents with office services personnel
- Maintaining attorney contact lists through Outlook and Client Relationship Management system (. InterAction)
- Timely submission of daily task log identifying projects and assignments
- Reviewing and revising client pre-bills (may be responsible)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a strong professional or educational environment
- Highly organized with the ability to support multiple attorneys' practices and coordinate multiple tasks and requests effectively
- Demonstrates strong time management expertise with the ability to prioritize and anticipate practice needs
- Demonstrates initiative to identify, monitor, and execute tasks related to case timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external parties
- Advanced knowledge and proven expertise using Best Authority to produce Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA)
- Extensive knowledge of court rules and ECF procedures
- Proficiency in using MS Office, Outlook, and Adobe
- Experience with document management systems (. NetDocuments)
- Expertise in Forte to create compliant legal documents and correspondence
- Knowledge of legal terminology
- Bachelor's degree preferred
