Job Title: Attorney 3

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of approximately 10 attorneys as part of the **Members Only**’s Central Legal Staff Criminal Team.
- Conduct significant research and writing tasks for criminal cases.
- Handle personal caseload, including reviewing appeals for jurisdictional or procedural issues and preparing memoranda for Judges.
- Review motions, prepare summaries, memoranda, and orders for judicial review, and assist in research projects as needed.
- Collaborate directly with Judges and their chambers to address matters involving pending criminal appeals.
- Plan and supervise all operational aspects of the Criminal Team, ensuring an even distribution of assignments and monitoring case flow.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments through weekly reviews, and redistribute work as necessary.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing training and staff development.
- Review and edit team members’ work, and create/update team policies and procedures for statewide uniformity.
- Provide guidance and feedback on legal issues and team policies, prepare performance evaluations, and set goals for team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to update members on developments and promote communication.
- Communicate with Chief Staff Attorneys regarding legal, administrative, or personnel issues.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active standing with the practice of law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania Rules of Appellate Procedure and Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure.
- Experience with criminal matters and prior experience with or before Pennsylvania appellate courts is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity in job performance.
- A satisfactory criminal background check is required.

Salary Information:
- Starting salary range is $78,832-$103,063, commensurate with experience.
