Job Responsibilities:
- Investigate and prosecute municipal corruption, including misconduct by public officials, governmental employees, and law enforcement officers.
- Handle cases requiring investigative resources, such as building collapses, and manage election fraud allegations.
- Collaborate with the Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Unit (OISI) of the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) on law enforcement firearm discharges and in-custody civilian deaths.
- Receive complaints of corruption and perform corroboration and fact-checking.
- Collaborate with SIU County Detectives to investigate complaints and commence prosecution when warranted.
- Review complex investigations for potential adoption by the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).
- Be on-call for fatal police-involved shooting scenes and respond to warrant and charging requests from Internal Affairs and OISI.
- Review investigations from external agencies for probable cause and prosecute cases from charging to final disposition if arrest is warranted.
- Evaluate cases for possible diversion, considering specific collateral consequences like pension forfeiture and safety concerns.
- Address hurdles faced by complainants, such as 5th Amendment issues and distrust of law enforcement.
- Conduct examinations and investigations through the Investigating Grand Jury.

Education and Experience Information:
- Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of legal experience after graduating from an accredited law school.
- Commitment to anti-corruption work is essential.
- Must be highly motivated researchers, comfortable with long-term, document-driven cases.
- Courtroom experience in trials or evidentiary proceedings involving serious felonies is necessary; experience with domestic violence and sexual assault cases is advantageous.
- Must manage a trial caseload effectively and take initiative in non-deadline-oriented investigations.
- Ability to work with County Detectives and other Assistant District Attorneys to build cases is required.
- Must be willing to be on-call one week out of every six.
