McCarter & English, LLP, a prestigious law firm with a history of over 170 years, is actively seeking a qualified candidate to join their Intellectual Property Practice Group as an IP Associate, Patent Agent, or Technical Specialist. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, and 2-4 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting US and international patent applications in mechanical, electrical, and/or software related technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Draft and prosecute US and international patent applications
• Conduct patent searches and prepare patentability, validity, and freedom-to-operate opinions
• Communicate with clients and assist with patent portfolio management
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals in the firm

Requirements:
• Superior academic credentials
• 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or software related technologies
