Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages for claims
- Conduct thorough investigations, including witness interviews and evidence collection
- Manage independent adjusters and provide direction
- Analyze liability exposure and ensure fair contribution from joint tortfeasors
- Maintain accurate reserves for claims
- Proactively manage claim files and negotiate settlements
- Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, and actuarial teams
- Prepare comprehensive reports and letters
What You'll Bring:
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Effective negotiation and conflict management abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with insurance coverage and claim evaluation processes
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience for Associate Claims Examiner
- 7+ years of relevant experience for Claims Examiner
- Experience in roles such as examiner, adjuster, paralegal, attorney/lawyer, or other transferable experience
- Multi-jurisdictional knowledge and advanced degrees (., JD) are a plus
Position affords 5 days per month to work remotely.
