Overview:
McCarter & English, LLP is seeking a highly qualified and experienced IP Associate, Patent Agent, or Technical Specialist to join our dynamic Intellectual Property Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for patent prosecution and a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and/or software related technologies to join a prestigious law firm and work on cutting-edge projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and prosecute US and international patent applications in mechanical, electrical, and/or software related technologies
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses
• Provide strategic advice to clients on patent portfolio management and development
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals in the Intellectual Property Practice Group to provide comprehensive and effective legal solutions to clients
• Communicate with clients regarding the status of their patent applications and respond to their inquiries in a timely manner
• Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations and provide guidance to clients accordingly

Requirements:
• Superior academic credentials
• 2-4 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting US and international patent applications
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and/or software related technologies
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO
