Associate Attorney The candidate will attend meetings, mediations, hearings, pre-trial and trials. Take and defend depositions of witnesses, including corporate representatives and expert witnesses. Research caselaw and statutory authorities. Draft motions, discovery requests and responses, scheduling and docket control orders, briefs, and prepare cases for jury/bench trials. Analyze case and provide legal guidance and support to the clients. Should have strong academic credentials as well as strong organizational, analytical, writing and excellent communication skills. Admittance to the State Bar of Texas is required. Should have ability to handle a large case load and run his/her own litigation matters with minimalsupervision. Willingness to appear in court and present case before a judge or a jury is required. Experience with Travis County District Clerks Office and District Judges, a plus. should have 2 years of Texas civil litigation experience. Extensive experience in legal research, discovery, mediation, client/witness interviews, and trial preparation is required.
