Job Title: Senior Counsel, Legal

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel in the Legal Department at the organization is tasked with engaging in a transactional legal practice. The responsibilities include:

- Handling business structuring and financial transactions, which encompass program structuring and individual transactions for tax incentives, tax-exempt bond financing, loans, equity investments, and similar financial dealings.
- Managing complex real estate transactions, including redevelopment projects, mixed-use developments, industrial, commercial, and affordable housing projects. This also includes ground leases, space leases, sales, Rights of First Offer (ROFOs), and Rights of First Refusal (ROFRs).

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of five years of post-law school legal transactional experience is required for this position.
- Candidates must establish residency in New York City within 180 days of their hire date.

Salary Information:
- The annual salary for the Senior Counsel position will be determined based on the number of years the applicant has been practicing law and will align with the salaries of current lawyers at the organization with similar experience. The salary range is from $130,000 to $192,000 USD.
