Job Title: Associate Counsel

Job Responsibilities:

- Handle a caseload of lower complexity matters with high quality and proactive case handling.
- Develop and apply effective trial skills through increased litigation complexity.
- Conduct legal research and demonstrate effective and persuasive legal writing and presentation skills.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other file documents under the supervision of experienced counsel.
- Attend court events and other appointments with or under the supervision of experienced counsel.
- Learn and understand the expectations of Claim customers and assist in meeting key department business goals.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
- Provide recommendations and case analysis to business partners on appropriate file handling strategy.
- Utilize support staff effectively, consistent with office protocols and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
- Adhere to best practices in file management.
- Fully and effectively utilize available technology, case management system, and automation.
- Travel as required to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the state(s) where representation is required.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on the location.

Salary Information:

- The annual base salary range for this position is $83, – $137,. The actual salary will be determined by various factors, including the scope and complexity of the role, the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience, as well as other conditions of employment.
