Job Title: Trial Attorney – (Remote – Metro area, New York)
Job Responsibilities:
The Trial Attorney is responsible for representing insured clients and the company in defense of bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and other litigated cases. The attorney will prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. Key responsibilities include:
- Contacting clients to discuss their case and address any questions
- Reviewing new file assignments and all documentary evidence
- Approving initial pleadings and propounding discovery
- Developing legal strategy for each case
- Investigating and pursuing subrogation litigation where appropriate
- Conducting settlement and dispositive proceedings, such as mediations and arbitrations
- Preparing for and conducting court appearances, including matter management conferences, hearings, and status conferences
- Conducting depositions and examinations under oath, and preparing summary documents
- Preparing witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses
- Trying and/or arbitrating cases and preparing motions and summary documents in limine
- Keeping claim business partners updated on status, including initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, and pre-trial updates
Education and Experience Information:
- A 4-year Bachelor's Degree is required
- Juris Doctor is required
- Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of New York
- 1 or more years of experience is preferred

Compensation:
- The compensation for this role ranges from $66, to $120, annually and is based on experience and qualifications
- This role is also bonus eligible
