Job Title:
Senior Assistant Attorney General (Prosecutor)

Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise prosecuting attorneys within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU).
- Manage a caseload of prosecutorial cases involving fraud, abuse, neglect, and exploitation within the Medicaid system and residential health care facilities.
- Collaborate with a team of agents, analysts, and attorneys to prosecute cases of provider fraud and abuse in Medicaid systems.
- Work with federal partners to conduct investigations and prosecutions.
- Draft, issue, and file legal documents such as subpoenas and informations.
- Collaborate with agents to prepare probable cause affidavits and search warrants.
- Prepare and submit exclusion documentation with administrative personnel.
- Conduct criminal discovery, motion practice, and manage hearings and trials as needed.
- Network and assist federal and other state counterparts when appropriate.
- Present outreach materials to various groups and entities.
- Represent the office in criminal investigations and enforcements conducted jointly with federal counterparts.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain the integrity of the Attorney General’s Office.
- Travel in-state, including overnight stays, and participate in out-of-state training opportunities.

Education and Experience Information:
- Must be, or be eligible to become, a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma.
- Require a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant prosecutorial experience.
- Applicants without prosecutorial experience should not apply.
- Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, and organizational skills are essential.
- Superior attention to detail is required.
- Must agree in writing to complete and satisfactorily pass a background investigation.

Salary Information:
- Salary Range: $122,500 to $145,000
- FLSA Status: Exempt

Additional Information:
- The position is based in Oklahoma City, OK, within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the **Members Only**.
- The MFCU is tasked with investigating and pursuing enforcement actions against healthcare providers defrauding the Medicaid program or engaging in abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation of individuals in residential healthcare facilities.
- The unit has both civil and criminal enforcement powers.
- The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit receives 75% funding from the . Department of Health and Human Services and 25% from the State of Oklahoma.
- The position involves working as part of a larger network of MFCUs nationwide.
