Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Property Insurance Attorney with at least three years of experience to join their team. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage property insurance defense cases from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and file motions, memoranda of law, and civil remedy notices.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Attend and represent clients at hearings.
  • Handle discovery and case management tasks.
  • Provide legal analysis and advice related to first-party property insurance claims.
  • Present oral arguments in Circuit Court.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience (defense experience preferred).
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to draft substantive motions and legal memoranda.
  • Proficiency in presenting oral arguments in court.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage a reasonable caseload based on experience.
  • Knowledge of first-party property insurance law and related case law.
  • Experience defending insurance carriers in first-party property claims is a plus.
  • Federal court experience is a plus but not required.
  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
