Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the IP Associate at the law firm include engaging in patent preparation and prosecution. The associate is expected to demonstrate flexibility, practical business sense, and tireless advocacy, aligning with the firm's service hallmarks. Additional responsibilities may include conducting due diligence and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet a broad range of business needs for clients. The associate will work closely with a team of attorneys, policy advisors, and other business professionals to advance clients' business goals through a deep understanding of their business environments.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the IP Associate position must have two to four years of meaningful experience in patent preparation and prosecution. A degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or a similar engineering field, or a computer science degree, is required. Applicants must be admitted to the state Bar of a major metropolitan city where the law firm has an office and must also be admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Due diligence experience is considered a plus.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the IP Associate position at the law firm is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. In Minnesota, the salary range for this position is $210,000 to $245,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits, including healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
