H1: Join Our Team as a Senior Associate in Insurance Defense

H2: Work with Clyde & Co in Chicago

Responsibilities:

- Manage a caseload of 25-30 matters
- Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations
- Draft and submit pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs
- Monitor trials and evaluate trial record for potential errors
- Conduct legal research and review and analyze documents
- Evaluate insurance policies and claims for coverage issues
- Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies
- Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds
- Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation

Education and Experience:

- . 2018 or earlier
- Admission to the bar in Illinois
- 6+ years of litigation experience
- Experience taking depositions
- Excellent academic credentials

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to travel for trial and trial monitoring
