Job Title: Attorney - Litigation Defense

Job Responsibilities:
As an Attorney at law firm, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of civil litigation cases from their inception through to resolution. Your duties will include conducting thorough legal research, analyzing data to develop strategic approaches for cases, and effectively communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. You will be tasked with drafting various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, and attending hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary. This role specifically involves defending a variety of Civil Litigation Defense matters including, but not limited to, General Liability, Personal Injury, Product Liability, Professional Liability, and Medical Malpractice, which is a required area of focus.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for this position will have over 8 years of relevant experience in Civil Litigation Defense. Specific experience with Insurance Defense clients and Medical Malpractice Defense casework is essential. The candidate should have proficiency in writing motions and other legal memoranda, summarizing depositions, and preparing for trials. The ability to work independently from the inception of a suit to its settlement or trial is preferred.

Educationally, the candidate must possess a Juris Doctorate Degree (.) and hold an active Pennsylvania Bar License, which is a required qualification for this position. While an active New Jersey Bar and/or the ability to transfer UBE scores is preferred, the firm is open to considering candidates with only one bar. The ability to waive into the New Jersey Bar and having multiple bar admissions is considered ideal.
