Job Title: Mid-Level Corporate & Private Equity Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The position entails supporting the Corporate and Private Equity practice at the law firm. The associate will be involved in various types of private equity transactions, which include:
- Leveraged buy-outs
- Independent sponsor transactions
- Roll-ups
- Minority and junior capital investments
- "Going private" transactions
- Purchases of troubled companies in or out of bankruptcy
Additionally, the associate will be part of a team that represents emerging managers and other general partners, as well as significant limited partners, in forming private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds. The role involves working with a nationally recognized law firm that consistently ranks among the top corporate law firms in benchmarking league tables published by PitchBook, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, and Refinitiv.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates are required to have:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in acquisitions for private equity funds
- A strong academic record
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- The ability to work independently with clients and colleagues
- A Texas bar license is required
