Job Summary:

- The **Members Only**'s Office is seeking dedicated Assistant Attorney Generals to provide legal advice, counsel and representation for the State of Arizona.
- Positions are available statewide in the Child and Family Protection Division.
- The AGO has jurisdiction over a wide range of legal areas, including consumer fraud, white collar crime, and civil rights laws.

Job Duties:

- Provide legal representation and advice in complex cases in State and Federal court.
- Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.
- Conduct investigations and legal research, review evidence and case materials, and appear in court.
- Respond to inquiries from law enforcement and the general public.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

- Knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and legal procedures.
- Familiarity with legal techniques and formats for preparing legal documents.
- Understanding of practical factors and considerations in litigation decisions.
- Knowledge of financial considerations for the state.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and direct complex investigations and cases.
- Skilled in building relationships and working collaboratively with others.
- Ability to identify and analyze legal issues, assess evidence, and communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and utilize the skills of subordinate staff.
- Ethical and professional behavior.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Travel may be required for this position.
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and consent to periodic driving record checks.
- Must be admitted to and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
- Writing sample required for attorney applicants.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Factors such as age at time of offense and relationship to job will be considered.
