Job Title: Senior Counsel

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm with offices across California and Nevada is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney for its Henderson, NV location. Known for its strong litigation record and commitment to high-stakes civil defense, the firm is expanding its team and looking for a candidate with deep expertise in complex liability matters. Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution

• Handle a range of liability cases, including but not limited to: auto, premises, general and professional liability, and medical/dental malpractice

• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials in person or remotely

• Collaborate with senior partners and litigation teams to develop case strategies

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, carriers, and experts

• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff when needed

Requirements:

• Active license and good standing with either the Nevada or California State Bar

• 5-10 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or similar practice areas

• Demonstrated success in managing multiple litigation files independently

• Courtroom experience, including handling hearings and trials

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid office model

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Nevada or California State Bar (required)

Skills:

• Advanced legal writing and research capabilities

• Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence

• Competence with legal case management and technology platforms

• Interpersonal skills suited for client interaction and cross-functional teamwork
