Job Title: Corporate Counsel, Shopping & Search

Job Responsibilities:
- Support business leaders by serving as lead counsel on product decisions, providing legal guidance on new feature and product development, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Counsel on regulatory matters, offering expertise on complex issues including privacy and regulatory concerns that may affect the shopping experience.
- Provide day-to-day, customer-focused legal advice, assisting teams in developing cutting-edge AI tools and features for customer-facing initiatives.
- Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries, addressing potential legal issues before they escalate to litigation.
- Participate in big, cross-organization projects that make experiences at the company personalized and engaging for customers.
- Occasional travel will be required as part of the role.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required for this position.
- Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree and be a member of one state bar or have an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent is necessary.
- Preferred qualifications include a mix of experience in a corporate law firm and in-house legal work.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Corporate Counsel position varies based on geographic location and other factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay for this role ranges from $138,500 per year in the lowest geographic market to $229,000 per year in the highest geographic market. The company is a total compensation company, and the offered position may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
